A Drop Down to Normal Just In Time for Fall?

North Carolina South Carolina – Summer will hang on right until the buzzer this year. Fall official starts on the 22nd, and that is when it could feel like fall.

It won’t feel chilly by any stretch of the imagination, although it might since it’s been “100 since May.” The Carolinas experienced one of their top 5 recorded hottest summers in modern history. Normal for September 22nd is highs in the upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s. It is very possible that we will dip down to these temperatures last this month.

And yes, it looks like normal temps could last for a while, at least into the 27th. One of the caveats is that it could feel on the warmer side of normal, and the temporary descent to normal could be more short-lived than first thought.

At any rate, fall is coming.
