Carolina Flood Impacts

With the saturated ground and continued forecast rains, we are looking at some more flooding threats across NC and SC. The mountains will begin to receive drenching thunderstorms and downpours late this weekend. This trend may dangerously continue into next week. Western NC could once again be in the threat zone for some serious flooding, but for now we are giving it a medium chance.

While Raleigh down to Columbia won’t exactly be dry, the significant flood threat is a bit lower for these locations. Along the coast, heavy downpours will cause more flooding. Leave low-lying areas and seek higher ground if instructed to do so by the NWS.
