This Memorial Day will be an extremely uncomfortable one outdoors, however it will be PERFECT swimming weather. Along the SC and GA coasts, temperatures will soar into the triple digits, and perhaps even beyond. Hot hot hot. If you and others are outside grilling, make sure to have an adequate supply of ice water. Also, jogging or running outdoors would be best in the early morning or late evening hours, rather than the heat of the day.
Widespread upper 90s are expected elsewhere as a large dome of high pressure is in charge.
The heat is unrelenting at least into Friday of this week. A/C units will be humming as energy demands will skyrocket.
