Final Call for Carolina Late-January Ice Storm

Hey Everyone! Thanks for coming to my site! I’m going to post on here more often since I’m not going to be going into details on Facebook, especially with the trolls and rude comments. That being said, welcome! I also intend to release my app over the next week or two, It’s going to be very soon! In the meantime, you can subscribe by email to receive a notification every time I post here on the site. At the bottom, or on the side, there is a Subscribe widget. You just enter your email and follow the steps, and that’s it! You will be notified when I make a new post here on the site. Yes, I know there’s a lot of ads, but I’m working on a better user experience.

Here is my latest map. This is supported by the short-range high resolution rapid refresh or HRRR model. This is highly accurate in the short-range. I’m expecting major impacts for everyone in the 0.75-1.00″ range. Greenville and North Georgia look to get hit the hardest by this storm. South and East of Charlotte will see impacts, but north and west of Charlotte will see many more.

The good news is that the freezing rain will end by 8pm Sunday!!! So hang in there until then, we are almost there! Of course dangers linger long after the freezing rain is over. Follow all official local safety guidelines.

Let’s get to 8pm Sunday! That’s when the freezing rain will end! I hope you don’t lose power, and I think many of us will be fine! Pray for those on the 1.0″ to 1.5″ inch range though, those could be catastrophic impacts.

Don’t forget to subscribe to our widget here on the site for email updates! Make sure to click “Read on Blog” in case there are any important updates to the article that are not in your email.
