I have seen and understand there is chatter about a winter storm this weekend in the Southeast. I don’t want to jump on board this early, because it’s a good way to get burned. What I am much more confident about is the cold this week, and then an Arctic outbreak this weekend. Could there be a winter storm? Sure. But I don’t want to cause panic or stores to sell out of staples for a flurry or a few hours of sleet.
Lots can happen between now and Saturday, with it being almost a week away. So many credible mets beat the drum of “it’s too far to tell, and details are not yet known,” yet they still post. The public then has expectations and nothing happens, and then suddenly all meteorologists are failures in their eyes.
I am moving away from social media on this site, and will be developing an app in the near future. It will have weather posts but without the disturbing comments or childish reactions. And the app and this site will not collect your personal data. A MUCH more enjoyable experience for EVERYONE!

There could be a feature on here to “Subscribe” which would send you an email each time this site is updated with a post. I would highly recommend subscribing for email notifications! I eventually want to move away from Facebook.
