GFS and GEFS Still Showing More Trouble in the Tropics

10-12-2016

Previously, the GFS was showing another Matthew barreling across Cuba and the Caribbean again. We are concerned that this would become a short-term pattern. The GFS, and GEFS ensembles are indicating another Carribben Hurricane anytime between the 23-28th of this month.

What is interesting to note is that this storm will have a similar origin as Matthew, well below Cuba and near South America. We will have to keep an eye on this, as the models have been consistent with spinning up a storm.
