Heavy rain and even severe storms will occur across the South, with the heaviest rain being in Virginia and North Carolina. Late into the weekend, the heavy rains spread south into South Carolina and even Georgia. Following the rain, a big warm-up is in store for later next week, with many locations reaching the low 90s.
