Latest 12Z GFS Shows *Frozen Precipitation* for NC and part of SC

3-9-2017

This morning’s run of the GFS is showing a winter storm moving across NC on Sunday, starting Sunday morning. One thing to keep in mind is that this model output includes sleet. Therefore, much of what falls could be in the form of sleet. That would drastically cut down on snow amounts.

Also given how warm it has been, it will be tough to get anything to stick. Just looking like a mess at this point for Charlotte, and maybe a dusting or so for Raleigh.
