Rain Remains in the Picture with Breaks In Between

We will dry out to start the week, however the pattern will remain unsettled with the chance of showers and storms each day this week after Monday. Temperatures will slowly climb, but nothing too drastic.

RAIN STAYS IN THE PICTURE

Below is the official WPC forecast for rain totals over the next 7 days, into Sunday the 26th. This is Memorial Day Weekend.

Charlotte and much of NC will see off-and-on rain this week. Any storm system that moves through could overperform in terms of rainfall amounts.

Down in SC, the Lowcountry could see a bit more rain over the next 7 days. Savannah and Charleston will see an unsettled pattern, much of which could occur today (Sunday) and tonight (Sunday night).

Rain totals this week will be light, but the takeaway is that they will be persistent. We’re not expecting any heatwaves anytime soon. So there’s that.

Memorial Day Weekend looks to be unsettled. Below is the GFS model for Saturday the 25th, and it looks swampy.

It won’t rain the entire Holiday Weekend, however any outdoor grilling may have to be rescheduled if you are in a location that gets a downpour.
