Some Could See Flakes Day After Christmas

There is an off chance that some of us could see flakes this evening and tonight as an Alberta Clipper system moves in. This is not expected to be impactful, however some areas may get just enough to make roads slick. But we are not anticipating any widespread issues. This will be more like “hey I’m seeing some flurries” type of situation. Timing is later this evening into tonight.

The map below outlines who has the highest chance of seeing momentary flakes. Again, this is not a major event. Just some pretty post-Christmas flakes.

The warmup this week is still expected. Temperatures will slowly climb this week and into New Years weekend. In Charlotte, highs are expected to be in the mid 60s! This is shorts weather for some.
