It certainly felt a bit later than October 10th today, and for a good reason. Temperatures were in the 40s across much of the South and even 30s in some areas. Further up north, 30s are forecast tonight. However, I am looking at something later this month.
Shown is the current snowpack over western Canada and into Montana. This is snow currently on the ground. It is early this year and had me raving back around Labor Day. Remember all that snow in the Rockies just before Labor Day?
There is more to come. The yellow shown in the image is the current sea ice. It is expanding. There is lots of cold air over these regions, including Siberia and Canada, Alaska.
Below is a possible arctic outbreak around the 25th of this month. I would suggest that plants are brought indoors.
