While we are experiencing absolutely gorgeous weather right now at the start of spring, there will be some days ahead where it will rain, will be cool, and may have wild swings between morning and afternoon temperatures. There could be some days ahead where it hits 80 degrees, and morning wake-up lows in the upper 30s and low 40s. A powerful cold front looks to sweep across the country on the 30th and 3st, bringing the threat for severe weather to the Plains and Dixie Alley.
April 1st typically starts to warm up in the Carolinas, and some locations could either hit 80 degrees or 55 degrees, depending on the location.
The overall pattern between now and the end of the month will be warm, then a cold front, chilly for a while, then warm again. This is actually completely normal for this time of year.
