Cold Blast to Grip Region Tonight; Early Saturday

Tonight and early tomorrow morning will be a cold weather lover’s dream in the South. Overnight lows will be in the upper 10s cross much of western NC and the SC Upstate, with low 10s and 0s in the mountains. Eastern NC/SC and VA will experience overnight lows in the 20s. It will be a great morning to sleep in if you don’t have to work. Highs Saturday will only top out in the 30s, so if you head out plan to wear a coat, gloves, and a scarf. Enjoy a fireplace fire responsibly!

Sunday will not be quite as cold. Daytime highs could creep back into the low 40s after morning lows in the upper 20s. This cold blast will not stick around long before we go back to more normal temps for this time of year.
