Cold Chilly Wake-Up Featured for Friday Morning

Are you sad to see summer go? It will be on its way out the door Thursday and especially Friday mornings. On Thursday morning, lows could dip into the upper 50s across the Carolinas, and it will be a chilly wind. Friday is when some of the coldest temperatures so far this season will be.

Friday morning’s wake up will see morning low temps mainly in the low 50s, but with some outlying areas and northern areas falling into the upper 40s. No frost is expected with this chill, but perhaps some of the higher elevations could see frost, and have seen flakes today on Mt. Mitchell.

The chilly air will linger into the weekend, but by Sunday temperatures begin to moderate once again.

Tropics: We will likely have Hurricane Sam this week in the Atlantic, and most models pull him north and out to sea. We will sea and will monitor, so you all can see. Have a blessed second half of the weeek!
