Fall Chill Still Set for Late-Week in the Carolinas

We are still on track for our first true autumn outbreak of the season this week. On Wednesday, a powerful cold front sweeps across the region from the west, setting the stage for potential severe storms. This will have to be watched on Wednesday across our entire region.

Then by Thursday and especially Friday mornings, we will be in below-normal air, the first decent shot since the spring. Much of the region will feel the chill, but perhaps not close to the coast. However, the humidity may be noticeably lower.

Low temperatures are expected to be in the 40s and 50s mainly, with lows in the 60s near the coast. Fall lovers will enjoy! The cool air lasts into Sunday, when temps begin to rebound once again.
