Cold Times Upon us Next Week

This October is certainly not a hot one. While some days have been warm, and the humidity on the higher side, those days will be limited this month. As a cold front sweeps in from the west tonight, much colder air will user in by Sunday night. Then, early next week a cold airmass will remain in place.

There will be a frost threat in the mountains. Outside of the mountains, many could dip into the upper 30s more west and 40s east. The chill is expected to make it all the way to the coast.

This should serve as a reminder for folks to cover plants or bring them inside, as the frost threat continues to loom.

The first flakes of the season are possible in the higher elevations of the mountains, so we might share some live webcams! It will be windy especially in the mountains and parts of the western Carolinas.
