Daily Forecast for 12/14

Daily Forecast for 12/14:

Discussion:

Friday is a different story from last week. Friday will consist of very heavy rain and the region could see anywhere from 1″ to 4″+ of it. Temperatures will warm up substantially from what we’ve experienced lately. A deep snow pack and very heavy rain will create the threat for major flooding especially along the Appalachians where the snow is deepest. With the temperatures warming we will see more instability which will fire up some thunderstorms which could be severe. Strong gusty winds are the biggest threat, but with gusty winds we could see the spin up of a few tornadoes, especially along the coast.

Next 3 Days:

This system will last all weekend, dumping heavy rain and creating the threat for flooding in the region. Temperatures will be cooling back down as the system moves on through as cold air flushes back into the region. We will dry out when we begin next week.
