Flood Danger Across The Southeast This Weekend

After a snowstorm with some locations still having it on the ground, the big melt has begun and the rain this weekend will add to the flood water runoff. Creeks and streams will rise and some may over run their banks. Motorists should NOT attempt to drive through flooded roadways.

Road washouts, bridge washouts, and water rescues are all possible this weekend with any areas of prolonged heavy rain.

The greatest flood threat lies from Virginia down into Georgia and extreme northeast Florida from today into Monday. Recently where Hurricane Florence dumped a ton of rain, will be under the flood threat once again.
