Daily Forecast for Friday, August 2nd, 2019

We’ll remain under a rather moist and unstable atmosphere today with scattered showers and thunderstorms a likelihood across much of our forecast area. It won’t be a widespread event, but those who experience showers and thunderstorms may receive intense downpours, as some of these cells may be slow movers and produce localized flooding. We also cannot rule out a stray strong to severe storm with gusty winds, hail, and dangerous lightning. Don’t anticipate anything to extreme for heat, especially north and west, as temperatures will remain near or even below average for many locations under what will likely be excessive cloud cover for most. However, the humidity will likely make up for that providing it’s own discomfort, due to the moisture-rich atmosphere. Rain chances will linger into the weekend.

Have a great day.
