Forecast for Sunday 6/9

Heavy showers and thunderstorms will continue at times today, but they will be intermittent for some areas. There could actually be some breaks of sun in some areas, particularly over portions of South Carolina. Areas in the western mountains and foothills of North Carolina may have some breaks, but likely only short-lived ones, if any.

However, everyone will have the risk of scattered heavy thunderstorms and downpours which may continue to feed the flood risk, particularly in Western and Central North Carolina, as well as Upstate South Carolina. Temperatures won’t be excessively hot, but humidity will be oppressive for most of you. Have a good Sunday.
