No Sign of Summer In the East Next Week

After an anomalous heatwave for many in the east in late-May, we will now be struggling to find any kind of warmth. Although the humidity will be there. However a series of cold front will push any heat out to sea and will keep us damp into mid-next week. The week ends almost on a chilly note, with well-below average temperatures for mid-June. The GEFS ensembles are very enthusiastic of a trough of cold air centered just east of the Mississippi River next Friday. This would mean many of us could wake up to temperatures in the 50s next Friday morning. Not ideal beach weather quite yet, even though summer is approaching and we already had a major heatwave. Stay tuned as we continue to bring you the latest at ECWA!
