Heavy Rain to Impact Southeast This Weekend

Hoping to stay inside this weekend or to catch up on movies? Well this is the weekend for you. Off and on showers as well as a steady drenching rain for some will be the weather headlines this weekend. And we don’t look to dry out anytime soon.

The heaviest rains will likely be inland NC and SC and well as GA and AL, also parts of southern VA. Rainfall amounts in these areas could be in excess of 4 inches.

According to the NAM hi-resolution through late-night Sunday, the highest impacted areas will be in cities such as Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Columbia, Greenville, Wilmington, Atlanta, Macon, and Tallahassee and Pensacola. This doesn’t occur all at once but rather at different intervals.

Everyone be sure to take the umbrellas if you venture out tonight and this weekend, and remember, turn your car around, don’t drown!
