Daily Forecast for Thursday

The influence of “Invest 98L” will still be felt in the majority of North Carolina on Thursday. For central and eastern NC, expect widespread cloud cover and sporadic thunderstorm development. The Triad region and points west will largely be spared.

For South Carolina, the majority of the state will be much drier than the last few days. As the low pressure system is now firmly off the coast of NC (west of Wilmington, just off shore), expect gradual clearing throughout the day. Cloud cover that will persist throughout the first half of the day will help keep temperatures in check. However, for Myrtle Beach, you will still have one more day of soggy and stormy conditions to deal with.

Stay safe out there!
