Daily Forecast for Wednesday, February 1st, 2023

Happy February! It will not feel like it outside for our region since it is warmer than usual. We could wake up to some rain and showers, but it will dissipate by mid-morning. Light precip could linger throughout the day, but it’s expected to taper off. More rain is expected on Thursday. Wednesday some parts of the Mid-Atlantic could see snow showers, but they will be moving quickly and not much accumulation is expected. Below is the forecast graphic for Wednesday 7am.

Some possible snow totals overnight into early Wednesday are shown below, output from the NAM model. This is the only snow for now, as it’s part of a much larger system extending into Texas as an ice storm.
