Dangerous, Powerful Coastal Storm Possible Mother’s Day Weekend

5-7-2017

Mike Griffith, Meteorologist

Models have been coming into slow agreement for a coastal low on Saturday the 13th. As of now, it appears as though the main issue will be high winds and flooding rains. We will have to watch for beach erosion along the coast. This will be from the coastal Carolinas all the way up to Long Island. Flight delays are likely in the major Northeast cities Saturday.

Both the Canadian and GFS are hinting at the storm. Even the EURO has a powerful storm for Mother’s Day.

If you live along the coast, prepare for impacts similar to a tropical storm. We will do our best to update you on this developing situation. To stay up-to-date and access our premium content, current special is just 14.99 a year! Click here for more
