Dangerous Severe Weather Likely Monday For Most

A cold front pushes through from the Midwest on Monday into the Eastern US. This front will bring very nasty storms with it, with the possibility of many tornadoes, especially in the enhanced risk area. The yellow area also will likely see severe storms, with damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. This is a high confidence event due to the strength of the cold front. When cooler air meets with hot humid air, a battleground ensues.

SPC Outlook for Monday has an Enhanced Risk for much of the Northeast, and a Slight Risk all the way from Maine down to North Carolina.

Looking at the future radar from the NAM model, there will be some nasty cells across Philly and DC. Also into the mountains of Virginia and North Carolina. We can even see our tropical system in the Gulf headed to Texas! Stay alert Monday for any new developments!
