Euro Ensembles Indicate Warming is in the Works, Then Cold

It has certainly been bitterly cold the past few days, and even as a trend since New Year’s. According to the Euro Ensembles, warmth is once again heading into the East. This is around the 10th or 11th shown:

Temperatures across the South will soar into the 60s, and in the 50-60s in the North. Notice there is some kind of feature across Florida and into the Caribbean. This will have to be watched for potential development into some kind of storm system. The GEFS agrees, and has some kind of disturbance down around Miami on the 10th-11th.

According to the Euro, there is another cold shot around the 14th-15th. This is either a storm signal, or just colder air behind a departing front. Either way, the warm goes away around the 14th. The storm track may get active once again, with more chances for ice and snow.
