Flood Ravaged Regions are in Store for More

Michael is on its fast approach to the Florida panhandle. Dangerous storm surge, flooding rains, and destructive winds will accompany the arrival of Michael. The panhandle of Florida is not the only area at risk for damage and destruction. The Carolinas are also at risk for more flooding and tropical storm winds. The same areas that were severely damaged by Florence could yet again be impacted by Michael.

The Euro takes Michael right over the same areas that were severely damaged by Florence.

The center moves just to the west of Charleston, this means that there will be an onshore flow of tropical storm force winds that will lead to more coastal flooding as the wind pushes water inland yet again.

Another half a foot of rain is likely to fall across most of the Carolinas, and with already saturated grounds more flooding and uprooted trees. We will continue to notify everyone with any changes in the forecast.
