GEFS Takes #Matthew Just off NC Coast, Then Hits Cape Cod

9-30-2016

The GEFS ensembles have been somewhat consistent in the track of Matthew. With the upper-low over the Ohio River Valley and a High over the Atlantic, the track of Matthew will likely be in between the two. The model takes Matthew just off the NC coast around the 5th, and then takes it somewhat on a northeast turn and clips Cape Cod, MA. A second landfall is likely in Nova Scotia, Canada. You could see both of these locations in the news during the first week of October.
