Heat Begins After Temporary Cold Snap in the Carolinas

After a frigid wake-up Friday this week, temperatures will quickly rebound again. Morning lows on Friday will be below freezing for many, but then mornings will quickly get warmer. By the middle of next week, we may be experiencing temperatures in the 60s and 70s. The Below outlook from the Climate Prediction Center shows a high chance for warmer than normal for much of the country. This is from the 6th to the 10th:

This is going to be yet another temperature swing where we could see some consistent 80s in Charlotte and the Carolinas. There may even be a day this month where someone touches 90.

But then quick cool-offs, so the severe season may remain active.
