Hottest Temps of the Season For Many Early Next Week

Starting on Monday next week a heatwave will build rather quickly across the Carolinas. Readings could reach the mid 90s for many. But then on Tuesday, much of SC will be covered in 100 degree + readings. This will make it the hottest day of the season so far, and it’s not Summer yet.

According to the GFS, Tuesday will be a scorcher.

This will be a dangerous heatwave. Outside activities should be avoided, or at least during the hottest part of the day which is the early to late afternoon.

The heat looks to persist into late next week, however it might remain in the 90s instead of hitting triple digits. But we shall see. Models do not handle extreme heat well, and it could be hotter than what the models show for later next week.

There may not be any relief into late-month.

Consult your local NWS for all heat related advisories and warnings.
