Late-July Heatwave to Set Up this Weekend

It’s no surprise that it’s July, and this weekend will certainly remind us. Temperatures will soar into the upper 90s, and it will be humid, which will make outside feel oppressive.

Below are the official expected highs on Saturday.

On Sunday the highs will still be in the mid 90s, which will make it feel like a typical July across the South. We are entering our hottest time of year.

However, temps will be a bit above average, so be sure to stay hydrated and avoid being outdoors during the hottest part of the day. Refer to your local NWS office for all heat-related safety.

For the rest of this week into this weekend, it will be a good stretch of days to head to the pool! Of course, head inside at the first sound of thunder.
