Lows in the 30s Expected Monday Morning

It has been a chilly Halloween, and cold weather lovers can rejoice since Monday morning will be cold across the Carolinas. A cold front will move across the coverage area on Sunday, brining with it the possibility for severe storms across eastern NC. Behind this front, colder air will user in. By Monday morning, we can expect temperatures in the 30s across the Piedmont and in the 20s in the mountains.

Below is the Euro model showing Monday 7am temperatures.

Don’t forget that the clocks “fall back” 1 hour tonight starting at 2am.. Since many clocks are digital these days, this will be an automated process. Just be aware that some of your clocks may not be correct tomorrow if they did not go back an hour automatically.

This cold snap does not appear to last long, as things will quickly warm up once again this week. Temperatures will slowly climb back into the 60s and 70s by the end of this week. It will feel warm by the end of next week, with temperatures well above average by Friday, up to 10 degrees F above normal.

The middle of November is not decided just yet, but we are seeing signs of well above normal temperatures.

Stay tuned!
