Mild Spell Ensues Rare Snow, End of Month Freezer Come Back

There will be a warm spell after this southern snow event pushes away. While there is a refreeze potential Tuesday am, we quickly warm up after. Things seemingly return to normal for the weekend, however rain is in the forecast, heavy at times, so we are looking at a weekend washout. There could be serious flooding this weekend with all the snowmelt and additional rain.

After our warm spell, the pattern flips again around or just before Christmas. There may be another southern storm that changes the pattern around the 21st. After this system moves through, if it does, lots of cold air will wrap in behind. Energy usage is likely going to finish above average for December. This is still two weeks away, so if there is a storm, precip types are yet to be determined.

Stay warm for now until our warming trend begins! But remember, it doesn’t last!
