Thursday will feature another humid day with showers and thunderstorms, some containing locally heavy downpours. These areas of heavier rain could be over locations that do not need any more. There is an atmospheric river open from the South, which is allowing tropical air to be pumped up the East Coast.

While the amount of moisture that was associated with Alberto will diminish, this means that wherever the sun comes out could cause severe storms. Watches may be issued at some point Thursday. Otherwise we can expect a temporary break from the rain.
