12-27-2016

The last 2 weeks of December have been warm, however things will change dramatically in the first week of 2017. The European model is showing a drastic shift around January 6th to a more cold and stormy pattern across much of the U.S. Top image is the 500 mb height pattern across the U.S., as blue means lower pressure than usual, and thus colder temperatures. The bottom image verifies this. The U.S. is looking much below average on the 6th temperature-wise!
