A Tornado Watch has been issued by the NWS for much of western and central NC and also parts of western VA. Tornadoes are possible along with damaging winds and hail. Residents should re-consider any outdoor plans this afternoon and evening. Have a plan of action in case a warning is issued for your location. Also, have multiple sources of warnings handy should a warning be issued.
