There will be some kind of tropical disturbance in the Gulf this weekend, and the moisture from this system is expected to stream northward. The heaviest rain will most likely be to our west as the moisture will stream northward from the Gulf Coast.
Rain is expected to begin Saturday, and then become heavy at times Saturday night into Sunday. Rain is expected for much of the day Sunday before tapering off. Take a look below to see how much rain you can expect from this preliminary forecast.
The GEFS ensembles valid Sunday evening have rain totals over an inch and maybe up to 2 inches in western SC/NC by Monday 8am. This will cause flash flooding and poor driving conditions. Please plan your travels accordingly.
