Persistent Rain over the Next Week for Much of Eastern US

FLOODING RAINS LIKELY OVER THE SOUTH, EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA

It’s looking like a wet week ahead. Off and on showers and thunderstorms, with some severe, will plague much of the Eastern US. Eastern Virginia and parts of the Delmarva need to be on alert for Monday, as severe thunderstorms are likely that could produce high winds, hail, and tornadoes. The heaviest rains will occur in a swath from the Deep South, into the Carolinas, and into the lower Mid-Atlantic. Eastern NC could see some flooding over the next 7 days, as this is where the bulk of the rain is expected to fall.
