Rain Return This Week for the Carolinas

It has been very nice outside recently, with abundant sunshine and low humidity. However, that is about to change this week as afternoon showers and storms become more frequent. The Piedmonts of SC and NC could remain fairly dry for the beginning of this week, however that may change as the week progresses. Not everyone will see rain each day of the week, some some will see rain on different days. The most widespread rains are expected to be in the mountains, and could be heavy at times.

Western NC and eastern TC could see amounts in excess of 1 inch. The legend below shows how much rain you can expect for your area over the next 7 days.

AREA A – Amounts will mainly be around 0.10 of an inch total.

AREA B – Amounts will range from 0.1 of an inch to 0.25 inches.

AREA C- Amounts will range from 0.25 inches to 0.5 inch.

AREA D – Amounts will generally be around 1 inch but could be locally higher.

This is all total for this week and next weekend.
