Tonight and into Wednesday, rain is spreading into the region from our south. Rain will become more widespread on Wednesday, and will become heavy at times. Thursday will see more of the same, but then the steady rain will become light and hit-or-miss. Along the coast, rain looks to linger longer, especially into Friday.
The heaviest rain will be in western NC and SC, and also along the coasts of NC and SC. The heavier rains could also extend into Southeast Virginia.
If you plan to be out driving between tonight and early Friday, be sure to use low beams and reduce your speed since wet leaves are almost like driving on ice. It will be a miserable next two days, so plan for indoor activities! Maybe some warm beverages and food!
