Refreshing Air Mass Moves in for Many Tuesday AM

We have been hot down here in the Southeast, and many would not mind some form of temporary relief. After recent bouts of mid to upper 90’s degree heat, this weekend has been somewhat moderate with highs in the mid to upper 80s which is much more seasonable. However, tonight and Monday, a cold front will sweep through, ushering in much cooler temperatures for your Tuesday am wake-up. Temperatures could be in the low 40s in the mountains and northern locations, and in the mid-to-upper 50s and low 60s across the Southeast (warmer farther south you go).

Here is a look at the NAM hi-resolution model for lows on Tuesday at 7 am below. Much cooler air will sill into NC and VA from the north. Enjoy the temperatures on Tuesday since temperatures will likely rebound quickly for the rest of the week!
