A major winter storm is moving across the South tonight, and has already brought snow to parts of Texas. This winter storm will move into the Carolinas, Georgia and Virginia overnight. Roads at this time forward are becoming treacherous already. If you must go out, use extreme caution, otherwise it’s a good idea to stay home by the fire tonight.

Latest HRRR model puts down over a foot for northern NC and along the VA border. Northeast TN and GA mountains get possibly heavy snows. Charlotte depending on neighborhoods will see widely fluctuating totals.
Roads will become icy and snow-covered overnight. From this moment forward it’s a good idea to stay off the roads.
