Sea Surface Temperatures Responsible for a Warm Winter in the East

The pool of unusually cool sea surface temperatures off the Northwest Coast, has been responsible for driving the jetstream south into California this winter. In turn, it has been very warm here in the East and will continue to be warm, as long as this pool of cool water still exists.

This could mean a hot summer, or a cool and wet one. We will discuss the El Nino forecasts models soon, so stay tuned!
