Tuesday Arctic Front Brings Light Snow for Many

A fairly quick-moving Arctic front and subsequent wave of low pressure along the front will bring a quick burst of snow to the Deep South all the way up into New England. The mountains will be the winners with this event. Heaviest amounts will be in Pennsylvania through Maine.

Mississippi and Alabama will be in for a wintry treat as there will be white stuff accumulating. The Carolinas appear to miss out on this event other than flurries behind the rain as it moves away. The western mountains of NC will likely see the highest accumulations as well as the mountains of VA, TN, GA and so on northward.

Check conditions before heading out Tuesday and Wednesday, as freezing temperatures could cause black ice and dangerous travel.
