Weekend Winter-Like Chill in the Carolinas

While we are not expecting a true Arctic Outbreak, it will get cold by Sunday morning this weekend. Lows Sunday morning will be in the 30s for many across the Carolinas, except for eastern parts of the states including up to the coast. The mountains will actually go below freezing.

Due to the dangers of frost and freeze for plants and crops, it is not recommended to plant just yet. In fact, any outdoor plants should be brought inside this weekend.

Monday morning also looks chilly in the GFS forecast below.

However, temperatures will quickly rebound early next week and into later next week as a spring pattern takes hold once again. But next weekend could be interesting in the form of more cold, so we shall see!
