Widespread Severe Outbreak Likely This Weekend

5-26-2017

NOAA SPC has issued a moderate risk for the lower Midwest on Saturday. This is the area most likely for damaging storms including tornadoes in the red. Even in the enhanced region damaging storms are still very likely and will be concentrated. In the slight risk, we are dealing with a more random damaging storm threat, but will be very likely nonetheless. In fact, anywhere in the green will be likely to see severe thunderstorms.

This will primarily be Saturday and Saturday night.

The threat does not end on Saturday. Sunday is also looking like another severe day, but not as extreme. A slight risk will extend from Indiana through Texas as a cold front forms and will attempt to slowly push east. Anywhere in the yellow will likely see severe weather. Stay safe this weekend everyone!
