We are now only two months from the official start of the Atlantic hurricane season which runs from June 1 through November 30. Their forecast calls for 14-18 tropical storms. Of these, 7-9 are expected to become hurricanes, and 2-4 are expected to strengthen into major hurricanes.
This come on the heels of an active 2019 season. Neutral to La Nina conditions are expected, which favor above-normal hurricane activity in the Atlantic.
