Another Weekend Winter Event?

We could be staring down yet another winter storm this weekend! Will everything in the Carolinas close? We’re not thinking it will be too impactful for much of central and western NC, and even northern SC. However, SE VA and NE NC could be a different story.

Overall snow totals for many in the light blue are not really that impressive, but accumulations can occur, nonetheless. For much of the light blue, a coating to an inch is possible. In the darker blue, 1-3″ are possible, and closer to Norfolk even 5-6″ are possible with blowing snow.

This is mainly expected to impact the Northeast U.S., but can leave a quick coating of some sleet and even up to an inch of snow in spots before ending early Saturday.

This may not be enough snow and sleet to stick around, and could melt by early afternoon Saturday.

Keep an eye on this one, although we are not expecting a lot! But an inch or less will sure be pretty to look at once again.
