April to Finish Out Below Normal, Then Spring Arrives?

With all the rain and gloom, and chilly weather, some of us long for the sun to return. Some of us also are in delight with the rain and below normal temperatures. Nonetheless, rain will persist through the middle part of this week for many of us here in the East.

Behind all the rain and clouds will come a cooler shot of air, if not cold. This will primarily be in the Northeast, however we all could feel the chill down into the Southeast.  The below normal temperatures will last into the 29th or 30th or so, as we will finish out April below normal.

We are seeing some signs that more spring-like temperatures could be in store for the first week of May. This is according to the GFS and GEFS. Therefore, for our friends in the Northeast, they could finally see the arrival of what they perceive as spring. Still looks rainy and chilly down in Florida.
